March General Meeting with Mission Viejo

From time to time we have meetings with the Mission Viejo Branch of AAUW and they have graciously invited us to join them for what appears to be a very interesting venue.
For our March General Meeting, on March 21st, we are to have as our Saturday luncheon meeting  the following place and time:

Gemmell’s Restaurant in Dana Point at the harbor
11:30 am  Registration,  followed by a short business meeting:
                              Lunch:  12 noon

Our delightful guest speaker is Susan Kotses, Senior Director of Education and Outreach for Pacific Symphony.   Her overall top is:  Why Music Matters.  Susan will describe the excellent music  education programs that the symphony offers to our  schools and  our Orange County communities. Also, since Susan had an earlier career in opera,  we’ve prevailed upon her to sing an aria from Porgy & Bess.

Raised in Irvine, CA, Susan Kotses, our Cantorial Soloist, amazes our members with her powerful voice and her impressive vocal range.
Susan holds a Master of Arts Management degree, a Master of Music degree as well as a Bachelor of Music degree.
In addition to these responsibilities, she is a free-lance classical singer and works as a  voice teacher. She speaks French and translates French to English and possesses basic proficiency in Italian and German. She is also studying Hebrew to enhance her Torah reading skills.
