LOCAL   SCHOLARSHIPS
History
On June 18, 1970, our Branch presented a $200 scholarship to a graduating Saddleback Community College student. This award was the beginning of the local scholarhip program. Every year since, the Branch has followed this tradition. Since 1970, the Branch has awarded $170,650 to 169 Saddleback Community College students to help them continue their education at a four year institution.

This spring awards were made to four   young women.
The sources of these funds are one-half the proceeds of the annual Home Tour, donations to the Branch Memorial Scholarship Fund and the interest from the San Clemente-Capistrano Bay Branch AAUW Endowment Scholarship Fund in the Saddleback College Foundation.
